Access is very easy: it is within sight of the intersection with I-10. Food is available in the hotel and at several restaurants nearby. There is some RV parking space available, but there are no hook-ups. We have provided a map at the bottom of this page to show you how to get there. This hotel is non-smoking, but each room has a balcony and the weather is neither cold nor firey hot in May.

Planned Events

Shows.
The usual Friday and Saturday evening shows, of course. If you wish to be on stage, please write a short description of your act on the reverse of your registration form. Curtain time is 6:30 PM each night.

"Playout."
We plan a field trip to a local "magnet" school on Friday morning. We envision one of our usual arcs of players in the school auditorium to introduce the youngsters to our kind of music. We shall use conventioneers' cars for transportation, so participation will be limited to the number of car seats we have. Please write on the back of your registration form how many would like to play, and - if you have a car - how many you can take with you.

Vendors
Do let us know how many standard width tables you need. Also, we need early notification of your special requests, such as "put me next to so-and-so," or "I need to be near the freight door," etc.

General
If you know anyone who didn't get one of these mailings, but should, give us the name and address and we'll send it out. OR, the latest information is always on the web site www.nolabanjo.com and can be downloaded. The Rendez-Vous is intended to be a nice visit with friends, so come on down and let the mud squish up between your toes and let's "pass a good time."

Access Map (from Interstate 10) As you can see: Come off I-10 at exit 225 and the hotel is very close by. It is at the "X" on the map.

Meet our newest staff member, Al the bouncer: (This picture was taken at his home near Ponchatoula, Louisiana.)

Among our participants are The Baldwin Banjo Band from Baldwin Arts and Academic Magnet School, Montgomery, Alabama

and their leader Doug Back, a fine instrumentalist in his own right.

Dr. Jeff Grosser from Maine, always a crowd pleaser, will be joining us too.
